ABSTRACT
This Note describes a number of fire incidents in enclosed shopping complexes and some other buildings also used for retailing. Factors common to different fires are compared. The fires described occurred in the USA, the UK, Canada and Mexico. The worst hazards are noted and suggestions are made as to how these may be overcome.
