Kingman, F.E.T. and Coleman, E.H., 1955. VAPORIZING LIQUID EXTINGUISHING AGENTS. Fire Research Notes 205
ABSTRACT
The use of vaporizing liquid extinguishing agents for fighting liquid fires is discussed with a critical review of the possibility of increased efficiency by the use of the newly-developed materials now available. An account is given of the application of one of these compounds, chlorobromomethane to aircraft crash fires. Substantial improvement in the fire-fighting efficiency of this material was obtained by application in the form of flat sprays.
