Nonflame Simulating Experimental Method For Ignition Process Of Fire

Cheng, X.F., 1992. Nonflame Simulating Experimental Method For Ignition Process Of Fire. AOFST 1

ABSTRACT

Seven similarity numbers are given by this paper to describe the ignition process of combustible materials. Analysis points out that it is absolutely impossible to predict real-process from small-scale simulating test in which the same material is used. Small-scale accurate simulating test should be done only by using different materials with the same similarity numbers. But if convective heat transfer and/or buoyancy force are negleted , it is also possible to use the same material in the small-sacle test by changing the scale of velosity Vo.
