ABSTRACT
Computer simulations on fires in 'bare cabins' with only the smoke extraction system operating were carried out. Cabins of different sizes and ventilation conditions were considered under a NFPA slow-t2-fire with cut-off value of 5 MW. The fire zone model FIREWlND was selected as the simulation tool. The time to flashover was simulated with two different times of operation of the smoke extraction system.
